Term & Conditions

Please read the following carefully and sign the Hotels ‘Declaration by Guest’ at time of booking.

  • Provisional bookings will be held for 10 days.
  • To confirm your booking a deposit of £300 is required.
  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • If you wish to be married in the Hotel you must make the necessary arrangements with the Registrar at Down District Council. The ceremony fee payable to the Hotel is £150.
  • Final numbers must be confirmed to the Hotel at least 7 days prior to the event and these are the numbers you will be charged for.
  • Table plans, food/beverage and equipment requirements must be advised to the Hotel at least 14 days prior to the event. Wine choices must be made from our current Wine List and confirmed 14 days prior to the event.
  • Alcohol cannot be brought in to the Hotel; we do not offer a corkage facility.
    If alcohol forms part of a prize draw at your event it must be left at Reception to be collected by the recipient at the end of the evening. Management reserves the right to eject customers found to be consuming beverages not purchased from the Hotel.
  • The client assumes responsibility for damage caused by themselves or any other guest or other persons attending the function whether in the room reserved or any part of the Hotel. The client undertakes to make good and pay restitution for any material damage of furniture or equipment, howsoever caused by persons working on their behalf during the set-up or dismantling of equipment used by them. Nothing should be affixed to the floor, walls, ceilings or columns of the allocated rooms by nails, screws, drawing pins, tape or any other means. Prior permission must be obtained from the manager if a client wishes to advertise a function.
  • The Hotel accepts no responsibility for gifts left for the Bride & Groom or indeed for anyone at any function. All gifts must be cleared from the Hotel within one hour of check-out by the Bride & Groom.
  • Children attending functions must remain within the function room after 9pm.
  • Cancellation charges will apply unless 6 weeks’ notice is given to the Hotel.
  • Management reserves the right to cancel any function it feels to be detrimental to the hotel’s reputation. Millbrook Lodge is a totally non-smoking hotel. A designated smoking area is available directly opposite the hotel’s main entrance.
  • Prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Prices indicated are subject to change without notice.
